Who doesn't need/want a jar or sugar bowl with a lifesized Bakewell tart as the handle! Of course it is chunky (would you expect anything less) but looks surprisingly delicate...  ideal as a sugar bowl, perfect for jewellery/cotton wool, just the ticket for storing sweet treats.
 
The jar -  and Bakewell tart - are handmade so each will be slightly different in size and shape. Please note too that because they aren't mass-produced or transfer painted each tart is unique and the glaze effects will be different because of that. 
 
Makers note: While the base and lid are made for each other and the lid has a lip inside to stop it slipping around, they are handmade pieces, and the clay will pull up a bit more in some places that others meaning you should expect some gapping between the lid and the base. We say it adds to the charm and unique style of our pottery, but we don't want you to be disappointed if you're expecting a tight fit.

Getting your perfect piece to you is our priority but as each piece is made to order (we don't hold any pieces in stock), the process takes a MINIMUM OF FOUR WEEKS although this is just a guide and if it goes over please bear with us, if it goes under let's celebrate!

Our china looks and feels very (very) different to mass-produced pottery; it’s not fine or delicate, but wonderfully chunky and full of texture, you’ll see thumb prints, makers marks, glaze specks/drips and heaps of individuality. We call it perfectly imperfect pottery and firmly believe it’s all the better for it!
 
Please note that because each piece is unique the design will be different from the one in the picture – similar but unique.
