The plan was to launch this padded heart range back in the summer in time for 'wedding season' but it never quite made it to the website, instead we're delighted to include this minor second in the sale.
What makes it a second:
Whilst this is a very minor second, as we're having a second sale in it goes! There is a thicker blob of glaze where the glaze dripped off my thumb as I held it waiting for the glaze to dry! On top of that there is some pin-prick/bubbling in a small area across the base.
Now, while it doesn't impact the use of the platter and is not that visible (and really hard to show in pictures), it has been discounted by 20%.

Our chunky china is very different to mass-produced pottery. Expect to see thumb prints, specks in the glaze (which may also be thicker in some parts than others). If there is colour on it, remember it is hand painted so there may be areas where the colour has taken more than in others - it’s what makes our chunky china unique and full of character. Perfectly imperfect pottery and proud of it!
Second: large padded heart platter
Marigold and Lettice pottery is made to be used, loved and enjoyed; it’s made using sturdy earthenware clay and a thick white glaze. This means it’s hard-wearing and every piece can safely go in the oven, dishwasher, microwave and even the freezer.
Our china is not fine and delicate, it is chunky and full of texture. It is handmade (and homemade) and has a very different look and feel to mass-produced pottery. It'll have thumb prints and markers marks but it is made with love and we hope it brings you joy for many years.
